Grassroots football at its best — Drishy FC of Kiama emerged champions of the Isaac Boro U-15 7-a-side tournament.
30 teams registered for the Isaac Boro U-15 7-a-side tournament in Kiama, conceived to develop age-grade football and immortalize the Nigerian war hero.
Third-place match: Isoki FC of Kiama won 4–3 on penalties after a 1–1 draw with Jepsik International of Opolo, Yenagoa.
Final match: Drishy FC of Kiama vs Golden Boys of Sabagria ended 3–3 at half-time; Captain Frank Dobera’s second-half goal secured victory.
Guests and spectators believe the tournament has the potential to produce footballers for state, national, and international glory.
